About The Lovesome

The Lovesome performs soulful Jazz and vintage R&B from the 40’s to the 70’s in a classic, effervescent style. Anchored by the lush vocals of Kelsey Jillette, the group plays songs made famous by Ray Charles, Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Etta James, and Frank Sinatra (to name but a few) in a romantic, danceable, and engaging style. Upscale, compact, always tasteful, The Lovesome 's size is flexible and can be customized to your event. Whether duo, trio, quartet, or quintet, Kelsey and The Lovesome will add distinction and elegance to your party.

"Exceptional talent and quality"

"I couldn't have asked for a better group of talented musicians to play at my parent's 40th wedding anniversary...The quality of music was exceptional - my guests continued to compliment the band throughout the night. The band played my parent's wedding song after they renewed their vows, and (I am quoting my dad) "it was a dance they will never forget - the version of Unchained Melody that was played was truly magical". The quality, price and value of this band was exceptional. I would highly recommend this band for any event. It was a pleasure working with them." -October 2014 review

THE

LOVESOME

New York City's best Jazz and soul band.

Gramercy Park Hotel June wedding, NYC
"We were so pleased with Kelsey and [The Lovesome]! Our guests raved about the music, and, as we hoped, there was a good amount of dancing through the evening by young and old alike. In addition, Kelsey was a pleasure to deal with and could not have been more professional, accommodating, and pleasant."

Museum of Natural History wedding, NYC:

"Thank you! Everything was great – the mother of the bride said told me “hiring this band was the BEST decision you forced me into”.  She was CRAZY for you guys and she said so were all her guests." -Jeannie

Ground for Sculpture wedding, NJ:

"I'd like to say that working with the Kelsey Jillette [and The Lovesome] was nothing less than a pleasure... The Lovesome arrived on time, professionally set-up, and worked with us to make sure the event went as we dreamed.  They learned two songs we requested, Dance me to the End of Love, a Leonard Cohen Standard, and Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, arranging it on the spot!  Everything about this experience was a pleasure."  -Brandi
